    		J stands for Joanne and K stands for Kathleen.
    She wasn't born with a middle name. The publishers wanted her to go by her initials so boys would still read it. They thought they wouldn't if they knew it was written by a girl.
    She took the K from her grandmother, Kathleen.
    So, her full name is Joanne Kathleen Rowling :)
