When is the only time flamingos can eat?

    Question #35678. Asked by amanda8888. (Jun 30 03 12:26 PM)

    Senior Moments

Between croquet games in Alice in Wonderland.
In real life the Greater Flamingo has to filter 20 litres of water a day to find food and need to eat about 50,000 insect larvae a day to survive. That will not leave much time for anything else.
its long legs enable it to wade through deep water and mud. It can also swim easily and feed by up-ending like a duck so it is not restricted to low water levels.
