Back in the 1980s, which flavour of potato crisp was withdrawn from public sale in Britain following negative publicity caused by an item on Esther Rantzen's 'That's Life' programme?

Did they use real hedgehogs, or use flavouring? If they used flavouring, how did they know when it tasted right?

As far as I remember, they were artificially flavoured. No idea how they knew what a hedgehog was supposed to taste like. Nothing about them on www.taquitos.net either.

...Something went wrong there; I'll try again (This is an excellent site about different kinds of potato chips/crisps): http://www.taquitos.net

hedgehogs are covered in clay and then cooked on an open fire, when it is ready to eat break the clay and the spines will be left in the clay and the hedgehog is ready to eat ,tastes a little like pork
