My parents migrated from Holland in 1952 and they bought with them two paintings by a Dutch (I presume) artist named L. Hartman. I'd like to get some information on tis artist. Does anyone know the website for something like The National Art Gallery in Amsterdam? "Is that you, Stella?" and "Where have you been, my dear?" are lines from which novel? When and why did advertising other products stop being popular in books? I have some from the 1940s full of them, and only seen a few since. This is the last line from what work?
