I am mostly interested in the answers for Britain and the world. I presume that due to climate or special occasions there are times of the year when more children are conceived.

SEPTEMBER OCTOBER.
My maternity hospital said it is always their busiest time. all those Christmas New Year conceptions. My birthday is 25/09 and when I was old enough to figure it out I used to tease my Mum about what she got for Christmas!!! Lol!

Seasonality of births has been observed in virtually all historical and contemporary populations. In general, two distinct patterns have been identified in modern populations: (1) the American pattern, characterized by a trough in April-May, and a peak in September, (2) the European pattern, with an excess of births during spring and summer, and a secondary peak in September. Many countries fall within these two general types; however, some nations demonstrate patterns of seasonality that are intermediate to these distributions

August
The most popular month in which to have a baby, with more than 360,000 births taking place that month in 2001.

I also found individual pages for the states of Illinois, Kentucky and South Carolina which all named August. South Carolina had the least number of births in April.
