mochyn - you are evil!! I think I've found the answer at last, it's only taken all day! It's not Van Gogh because that was the same period as Gaugin. So, 30 years on it had to be Henri Matisse (1869-1954), but - he only stayed two and a half months, and did one painting. Aug 04 03, 3:45 PM
