Why will the new Queen Mary, currently under construction as the world's largest cruise liner, never undertake a world cruise?

The market in world cruises is not big enough tot cope with a super liner so the Queen Mary 2 is being built specifically for the Baby Boomer Generation and the Transatlantic routes.

Or is she too big for the Panama Canal?

I think perhaps RickF is right. She is too big to fit through The Panama Canal

I heard that the Queen Mary will take over the world cruises that the QE2 currently does, and the QE2 will go into service in the pacific, focussing on the Hawaiian islands.
