How far does light travel in a nanosecond? There was a female Army General (or maybe she was a Colonel) who's trademark was to hand out 'nanoseconds' to people (lengths of wire cut to the exact length such that electrons traveling at the speed of light would take one nanosecond to traverse it's length)...What was her name and what was she in charge of in the Army? How much is a Rolls Royce? How much water is on the earth?
