I don't have a clue what it all means, but I found this:
The Oval, 1976: the fifth and final test match. West Indies are fielding during England's second innings. England require a daunting 435 runs to win. The score is 77-3. It's the 30th over.
The bowler's Holding; the batsman's Willey.

I must apologize for accidentally deleting Brainyblonde's follow-up "Does my answer look as if it might be correct?"
I've looked up the scorecard of that match at Cricinfo, and it looks perfectly plausible. Willey was fourth man out in England's second innings with the score at 77. The bowler who got his wicket was Holder, but he may well have been facing Holding shortly before.

Brian Johnston admitted to thinking up this line before it happened and waited for the opportunity to say it (legend say he grabbed the microphone at the opportune moment)
