Hitchcock was raised as a strict CATHOLIC, and graduated from St. Ignatius College, a Jesuit school in London. When he died in 1980 there was a Mass held for him in Beverly Hill, Ca. Later that year Westminster Cathedral held a Requiem (funeral) Mass in his honor. Although none of the sites I found came right out and said that he was a practicing Catholic throughout his life, the funeral masses for him seem to imply as much.
