There are only three po'ouli (Melamprosops phaeosoma) left - two females and one male. The finch-like birds live in a forest reserve on the Hawaiian island of Maui. But their home ranges do not overlap, stunting the birds' love lives.
Once it was the Mauritian Kestrel. In the 1970's there were only 4 remaining, but captive breeding has saved it from extinction, although it still remains the world's rarest falcon.
