Who were the two movie stars of the late silent/early talkie era whose son was a major writer of the book for 'A Chorus Line?'

    Question #38751. Asked by boman547. (Sep 13 03 3:49 PM)

Durable American actor James Kirkwood opened up his film career at the Biograph studios in 1909 and closed it out with 1962's The Ugly American.
James Kirkwood's third wife was actress Lila Lee; their son was James Kirkwood Jr., co-author of the Broadway long-runner A Chorus Line.

A Chorus Line began as a workshop "share" session. Playwright/novelist James Kirkwood (P.S Your Cat Is Dead) and former dancer Nicholas Dante assembled the book.

I didn't find any bio on Nicholas Dante other than he was AKA Conrado Morales. Kirkwood is who you must be looking for.

That is correct--James Kirkwood and Lila Lee were married for about 10 years and their son James Kirkwood Jr. was one of the book writers for A Chorus Line.
