From what I've found it was the name given at birth to Francis Max Factor Jnr (the cosmetics developer) however his parents who were Russian Immigrants may have adopted the name.

According to Brewer's Dictionary of Names:
"The well known cosmetic company is named for its founder, Max Factor (1877 - 1938), a Polish wigmaker and make-up artist who emigrated to America in 1904, setting up business in Hollywood five years later."
So it seems to be his real birth name.
