    Question #39528. RaeRae55 asks:

What day accounts for the highest chocolate sales? Valentine's Day?

    McGruff

Halloween and Easter are both ahead of Valentine's Day according to this site.

Valentine's Day Generates More One-Week Candy Sales Than Any Other Holiday.

Frame said Valentine's Day is an important holiday in the candy industry, but it's hard for him to gauge how successful sales will be. "It ranks third behind Christmas and Easter for us," he said. "The selling period is a bit short because of men's shopping habits. They always wait until the last minute."

One must remember that there are over a BILLION Chinese who do not celebrate Halloween or Easter but they have two Valentine's Days. Also the Japanese similarly do not celebreate Halloween or Easter but they go crazy buying chocolate at Valentine's.
