I've been reading a book recently that contains the word "rosbifs" a lot. What is it and what does it mean, it seems to pertain to the English written with a French perspective?

Like we English refer to the French as "Frogs" (from them eating frogs legs I understand) they call us "Roast Beefs".
I seen both "rosbifs" and rostbifs" in this context
