Yay! Gnomon. The condition is said to affect one in every 2,000 people and is described fully in the classic popular science work "The Man Who Tasted Shapes."
It reminds me of composer Erik Satie who wrote "Cold Pieces" and "Pear-shaped pieces" of music.
