Medal of honor recipients receive medical and dental health care for themselves and their dependants, courtesy of the US Departement of Defense. They are also subject to Property and other tax exemptions, depending on the law of the states in which they reside. The list goes on. Medal of Honor veterans and/or their widows receive many upgraded versions of regular veterans benefits, appearantly dependant on when they were awarded their medals, and again what state they reside in, and whether or not the widow has been remarried.
