Sharks don't have tongues. All sharks have 'tongues,' although they are not like humans'. Shark tongues are called basihyals and are found on the floor of the mouth like human tongues. But a human tongue is generally long, flexible and extremely useful, and the basihyal is a short, useless piece of cartilage.
