When buying a DVD player what does "multi regions" mean?
#40520. Asked by Valf. (Oct 29 03 12:47 PM)
The world is divided into several regions for DVD, rather like videos being in different formats. DVDs for the American market will not work on the machines for the British/Euorpean market and so on. Some machines are able to play all DVDs.

Different DVDs will only play on certain 'region' DVD players.
Region 0 is all
Region 1 is USA + Canada
Region 2 is Uk + Europe
I'm not sure on the rest it goes up to region 6. I think multi regions means the same as region 0.
