Try homones as an answer, many breast cancers are hormone-related which is why there is some controversy about hormone replacement therapy as in some people it can increase the risk of cancer of the breasts.

Yes I agree with you Sue.
What I was suggesting earlier was that if a particular type of cell was going to mutate and this was the initial cause of breast cancer, then if a particular breast (female - due to size and actual function) had 'N' times as many of these cells than another breast (male - little tissue and "dormant") then the breast with more, is likely to have a cell mutation 'N' times more frequently.

There's actually a considerable increase in male breast cancer, and it usually goes undetected until much later than in females. Males don't do the checks that a lot of females do. Well, stands to reason, don't it?

Not sure about you Baloo but I think it is my duty to personally check the breasts of my female friends for their own benefit and long term good health.

My son developed a tender, noticeable lump near his left nipple. It was surgically removed and biopsied, and the result thankfully came back benign. However, his insurance company balked at paying any of the bill, saying the procedure was cosmetic. Does that make any sense to you?

I thought the first principle of insurance companies was to refute claims at least initially. You would be amazed at the amount of people who do not pursue claims after a first refusal.People accept the insurance companies word and it is usually only managements policy.INSURANCE companies are in business to MAKE MONEY not to give it away
