    Why is the ocean salty?

    Question #40637. Asked by klpklpklp.

    elizabethmc

Rocks are weathered by the rain, and the minerals are broken off and travel down streams and rivers, until they are deposited at the sea. As the salt doesn't evapourate, the sea keeps getting saltier.
