Sorry mochyn, but I can't see anything wrong with what DB and siskin have already said about this. Briseis may have had a longer name for studbook purposes - or whatever, but Briseis was the name he was popularly known by. I haven't found any particulars about the jockey, other than the fact that at thirteen he was and is and for ever shall be the youngest jockey to win a Melbourne Cup. Nov 05 03, 4:22 AM

As DB has already stated,the boy was an aborigine and officials could not discover his family name as at the time they did not have family names,so they entered the place he was from ST ALBANS.Now he is officially known as Peter St Albans in the record books Nov 05 03, 2:04 PM
