    Technically, what is the difference between a dwarf and a midget?

    Dwarf
    An abnormally small person, often having limbs and features atypically proportioned or formed.
    An atypically small animal or plant.

    Midget
    An extremely small person who is otherwise normally proportioned.
    A small or miniature version of something.

    A dwarf is a person with a genetic disorder which causes him/her to be shorter than usual. It is often accompanied by other abnormalities.

    A midget is person who happens to be smaller than normal, but is otherwise normally proportioned.
