When did the Dalai Lama and Panchen Lama leave Tibet?

The XIVth Dalai lama, Tenzing Gyatso left Tibet with 8000 Tulkus and around 79000 followers and entered India in Summer, 1959 taking asylum. Since then, he is residing in a hilly town Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh in India. The 5th Panchen lama remained in tibet and soon became one of the 26 premier in people Republic of China. He died a few years back there. His next incarnation, the 6th Panchen lama, Gendun chos Kyi Nyima arrested by chinese authorities when he was 6 years old only and since then his whereabout is unkown to outer world.
