I heard about a movie where in the final scene a man is condemned to hang near a river, but the rope breaks and he is swept downriver to freedom. We see him eventually run to his house and into the arms of his wife. In the last shot, however, we realize that this was just the condemned man's dream, as we see him hanging from the gallows. Does anyone know the title of this movie?

I think this is the short film “Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge,” directed by Robert Enrico and based on a short story by Ambrose Bierce.

I know it as Incident at Owl Creek - and you've given away the ending! Fantastic film of only half an hour or less.
It was written as a short story by the same man who wrote the Red Badge of Courage.

    When do we see?

Does Tony Blair still live at No 11 Downing Street or did I miss him moving back to No 10? Given that he certainly moved into No 11 at some point, why have we not tended to see political correspondents standing outside the door of 11 Downing Street during reports on the Prime Minister?

A movie possibly from the 50s about a man running from authorities of some kind, meets a dog along the way and after awhile liking the dog. The man goes over a big bridge to freedom and they lure him back at night by tying the dog up in the middle of the bridge and letting him bark. I was rooting for him to get away so I think he may have been a white collar criminal. Does anyone have an idea of the name of the movie? I think it was Black and white.

In the movie The Wizard of Oz in the scene after Dorothy and the Scarecrow find the Tinman, I've heard that someone actually committed suicide by hanging themselves and it can be seen on the movie. Is this true and where can I get a copy?
