    Question #41421. jasper9lives asks:

Who won the Rugby World Cup in 2003?

    mochyn

Well I'm sure that the score was 20 -17 to England but maybe Shady would disagree

It certainly was England after a last minute goal by Jonny Wilkinson. Superb, nailbiting stuff and a jolly good match. Well done to both teams.

20 -17 it was and a fairytale ending. Sorry to all our Australian friends out there.....not really!

shady is probably in bed now, sobbing. He certainly needs to eat humble pie though after all the drubbing he gave England supporters!

Come on, we must be sporting so let's give a big cheer to the team who came second! Well done lads.

I'd like to say that neither team deserved to lose, but England was by far the better team. Had the match been played on a dry pitch, they would have won far more easily. What was all that nonsense in the local media about England being boring??

Hallo shady! What are you doing up at this time? I'm not sure - if it had been drier I think you guys might have scored more tries or there would have been fewer penalties. For once English-type weather helped us. Have a nice cocktail and look forward to the next world cup when you will snatch the cup from us - perhaps! (See how, like the Romans, I can be generous in victory)!!!

It was the best game I can recall seeing - fair play to the Aussies for making it a real nail-biter, but England were magnificent.

And it's about time we won something...
