In 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' what made the Grinch so mean?

Question #41559. Asked by peadybutt. (Nov 24 03 8:42 PM)

Christmas turned the grinch into a mean monster. He had a small heart to begin with. He didn't like the whole sharing and giving part about Christmas until he actually participated in it and that made him love people around him.
