There's a list of all Bugs cartoons on this site, with a short synopsis of each episode. I can't find one in the 1940s which has him joining the army. http://www.jenn98.com/bugs/bugsfilms.html

Gt's reference isn't an exhaustive list, but only the ones in release at the moment. Many of the Bugs cartoons have been withdrawn from release. Usually because of unfortunate racial sterotypes. Compare with: http://www.davemackey.com/animation/wb/1944.html
I've found a 1950s cartoon called 'Forward March Hare' where Bugs is signed up for army duty instead of Bertram Bonny but I don't think that's the answer.
