Which bird has claws on its wing tips?

Question #41877. Asked by MaggieG 5.

    griffinj

The extinct Archaeopteryx had claws on the tips of it's wings, living birds with the same attribute are the Hoatzin from Brazil and the Emu.

THE EMU????? where did you get that?

"long wing claws, perhaps used for climbing, as are the wing claws of young hoatzins—only EXTANT bird with wing claws"
(note that it's only the young hoatzins)
I knew about hoatzins (I got an extra point in a test because I knew that and the teacher didn't so he made the question wrong :D) but I had never heard about emus.

Hoatzin was the answer I was looking for, so it's a very belated Yay! to griffinj. I had never heard of them until we were asked this in a quiz and naturally got it wrong. Isn't nature wonderful, though?
