astrophysics --- branch of astronomy concerned primarily with the properties and structure of cosmic objects, including the universe as a whole. physics --- science that deals with the structure of matter and the interactions between the fundamental constituents of the observable universe. In the broadest sense physics, which was long called natural philosophy (from the Greek physikos), is concerned with all aspects of nature on both the macroscopic and submicroscopic levels.
