December 10, 1967, Jim Morrison was arrested on stage in New Haven, CT. Morrison had begun to insult the police officer who had mistakenly sprayed mace in his eyes before the show: "This little man, in a little blue suit and a little blue cap..."
Jim Morrison, in addition to an indecent exhibition charge, was cited with breach of the peace and resisting a policeman. He was released on $1,500 bond.
Ironically, this incident served to improve Morrison's cult status in the hippie counter culture...
