    Which Star Trek film "introduced" Captain Picard? I don't think it is one of the series of Next Generation films but one of the original Captain Kirk films. Anyone help?

    This movie introduced the world to the Enterprise-B, and it was the first movie to star the Next Generation cast.

    In the opening sequence, Kirk is "killed," when he gets sucked into the "Nexus." The next sequence is 80 years later, when Captain Picard promotes Worf to Lt. Commander. The Enterprise-D answers a distress signal from a remote observatory in space.
