According to a web page, it’s a soft spreadable sausage, very piquant and tasty, made from the cheaper parts of a pig (formerly from pork offal) and flavoured with peppercorns.
My sister moved to Italy over ten years ago and has taught me everything I know on this subject. Hence I've gained over thirty pounds! And I don't care!
