I am very partial to Halkoum. What is its English name and what colours are available in the UK?

    Question #42828. Asked by mochyn.

Without googling this just has to be Turkish Delight! My favourite! and I could write reams about it. You can get a version covered in chocolate which is always pink, and not like the "real stuff" but is delicious nonetheless and is a nice treat to have as it advertises itself as being 96% fat free so you feel very virtuous. The proper stuff is mostly found in shops round about Christmas time, although it can be found at other times of the year but not in such great quantities. I've only ever had pink or yellow (both equally yummy) but somewhere in the darkest recesses of my mind I remember a child brought me some back from a Turkish holiday once and there were different colours, and not as delicious as the British variety. I hope I'm on the right track with this answer. If I'm not, will somebody delete me quickly before I die of embarrassment!

    Funny you should ask that...
I think the other colours might be white and green, but I sit to be corrected.
