If you feel your neck very carefully, you will find little bumps under your skin that can move a little bit and feel strange. What are they?

They will be your lymph nodes. The thyroid and parathyroid glands are in the neck, but in the throat and not near the surface. They're always there but swell up to obvious lumps with an infection. As long as the bumps are in the normal place (where Frankenstein's monster's bolts are) plus the ones that swell up with mumps under the chin you have nothing wrong. If they're anywhere else, and not part of a pair either side, I'd get them looked at. Jan 02 04, 7:30 PM

Is it 'Beer THEN wine, you'll feel fine. Wine THEN beer you'll feel queer' (ie a little peculiar!). How did they find out that if you sneeze too hard you can fracture a rib, and if you try to suppress a sneeze you can rupture a blood vessel in your head or neck and die, and if you keep your eyes open by force they can pop out?
