I've often seen the word "natch" used in various written articles, and have not known what it means. If it isn't rude, would somebody please tell me its meaning?

As mo says, it stands for naturally. "Natch" is also the name given to any of various farmhouse ciders in Somerset, all of which are generally very alcoholic and very cheap, and which are therefore a popular choice for hard-up teenagers attending house parties.
Rough ciders can have some unpleasant side effects though. It may be an urban myth, but I seem to recall the motto of Somerset County Cricket club in years gone by being "It's the cider that gives us the runs".

The dictionary definition of natch is as follows: -
Natch, n. [OF. nache fesse, LL. natica, from L. natis the rump, buttocks. Cf. Aitchbone.] The rump of beef; esp., the lower and back part of the rump.
