George Washington was in the first skirmishes of what grew into the French and Indian War and later he escaped injury although four bullets ripped his coat and two horses were shot from under him.
George Bush was the youngest pilot in the Navy when he received his wings, he flew 58 combat missions during World War II. On one mission over the Pacific as a torpedo bomber pilot he was shot down by Japanese anti-aircraft fire.

They were both married on January 6; Washington in 1759 to Martha Dandridge Custis, and Bush in 1945 to Barbara Pierce. I'm surprised that no one else knew that!
