Blood is a carrier of various chemicals and gases around an animal's body. Chlorophyll is a chemical in the leaves of a plant which converts plant's food (air, water and sunlight) into vegetable matter. So the two are not really similar at all.

Sounds like a good name for a double act

Well spotted SM. I remember seeing them at the Hackney Empire in the early 1950s. Blood did part of the act spinning platelets and they always finished by singing 'Roamin In The Heamaglobin'.

Blood was a bit of a clot but you could always get A Positive response. Chlorophyll was the new comer and very green. He lacked acting ability being very wooden and looking like an autumnaton. He would always leaf the stage first.

I half remember from my chemistry lessons that chlorophyll is very similar to the haemoglobin found in blood, chemically speaking, except that a chlorophyll molecule is based around magnesium instead of iron.
