Yay Danish Prince! If that was a guess it was a good one. There's "Tomorrow and Tomorrow" (1932 film), "All Our Yesterdays" (Granada TV series), "The Way to Dusty Death" (by Alastair Maclean), Brief Candles (by Aldous Huxley), "Told By An Idiot" (Rose Macaulay novel) among others.
