    Why couldn't Ike Turner turn up for his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in January, 1991?

    		After 11 arrests on various charges in 1990, Ike was convicted on several charges, including possessing and transporting cocaine, and sentenced to 18 months in jail. He was in prison when he and Tina were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in January 1991.
