Most people in the UK and probably Australia (they probably have a far better version there) have heard of XXXB, a lager. What is XXXB?

    Question #43711. Asked by Baloo55th. (Jan 25 04 3:42 PM)

XXXX was called that because the joke is that in Queensland (Australia), they aren't smart enough to spell beer. Maybe XXXB is an attempt.

For ecky's benefit, XXXB is a very tasty medium-dark bitter from Wainfleet in Lincolnshire. Funnily enough, considering the question on windmills, the brewery is in an old mill. Not sure if it is available in Oz, but you can get it in NZ. My comments about British brewed lagers apply across the board to every one I've tasted (if you could call it that) so far. I have had some Boags (?) Lager from Oz - canned over there - and that did have taste.

During the long sustained chord at the end of what song can you hear a chair squeak? I first heard this on the cassette version and was later told it was only audible on the CD version. I've been told it definitely is not audible on the vinyl version.

The classic Burt Bacharach song "Walk On By" has been covered many times by various artists. I am sure that I heard a version done in the 70's or 80's, by a band similar to Naked Eyes (but obviously not them). Does anyone know of this version and who the artist was?
