The domestics would be sacked if they were caught drinking it.

Tetley's has been brewing beer in Yorkshire, England since 1822 and is one of the most popular British beers today, selling over 1,200 pints every single minute.

To judge from the amount of advertising, John Smiths must be a top seller - well I like it anyway, though the fridge is full of Tetley at the moment because it was on offer!
My new favourite is Old Speckled Hen. Lovely, though it makes me sleepy. To learn of its charms visit http://www.oldspeckledhen.co.uk/
