When and why did advertising other products stop being popular in books? I have some from the 1940s full of them, and only seen a few since. In November 1869, Egypt's Khedive Ismail opened both the Suez Canal and the Cairo Opera House, which debuted with Rigoletto. But what Verdi opera was the khedive hoping to have instead? Does anyone have any information on the mooring mast/tower that was to have accommodated the R101 airship if it had arrived in Ismailia (Egypt). i.e when was it removed, what happened to it etc? On the many incarnations of the Super Friends cartoons of the 70's and early 80's, several characters were introduced who did not appear in the comic book universe. Among the super heros that were introduced was El Diablo. What exactly was his special power or powers? I've seen him pictured during the opening credits but never saw him in an episode.
