    What was Pandora's Box?

    		My childhood favourite story! I can vaguely remember it was a story about a young girl who had a beautiful box and was told not to open it and she did and it let out all the evil into the world! Similar to "Curiosity killed the cat" and "Adam & Eve" with the forbidden fruit thing.

    		In Greek Mythology, all the troubles in the world were put into a box and Pandora was given the box to mind and told, under no circumstances should she open it. Guess what?

    		Pandora was the wife of Epimetheus, brother of the Titan Prometheus and was given to him as a gift from the gods.They also gave her the box as a wedding present but their real intention was for her to open it, as they wanted to revenge Prometheus who stole the fire. Pandora opened the box and all the evil set free and only hope stayed in, as Epimetheus closed it.
