    		Neal Loving and he didn't have any legs (not flesh & bone anyway) at the time.

    		Yay! He had planes called "Loving's Love" and was the first double amputee (in America anyway) to obtain a racing pilot's licence. He lost his legs after a crash while in action in 1944.
