    What vegetable can be used to soften shoe leather as well as deodorize the shoe?

    Senior Moments

    		I am not sure about softening shoe leather but shoving a pea up each nostril will get rid of the smell.

    Although not vegetable based, I have found the following tip on a web site: How to Soften Leather Shoes: Sponge with black coffee.

    I suppose if the coffee has sugar in it, the shoes would smell sweeter.
