    South Africa has 11 official languages:

    11 - Afrikaans, English, Zulu, Xhosa, Swazi, Ndebele, Southern Sotho, Northern Sotho, Tsonga, Tswana and Venda.

    Zulu is the most widely spoken of these.

    South Africa also recognises 8 non-official languages - Fanagalo, Lobedu, Northern Ndebele, Phuthi, Sign Language, Khoe, Nama and San.
