Kirchoff had two laws
Kirchoff's first Law states that the current flowing into a junction in a circuit (or node) must equal the current flowing out of the junction.
Kirchoff's 2nd Law states that for any closed loop path around a circuit the sum of the voltage gains and voltage drops equals zero.

His law of emission also led him to the concept of a "black body" and "black body radiation", which in turn led Max Planck to introduce the idea of quanta into physics.

This law was first stated by Gustav Kirchoff in 1859 and proved by him in 1861. This formed the begining of a black body and black boby radiation.
