    		Lady Amelia Croft: Lara's mother. After surviving the crash with her daughter, Amelia mysteriously disappears in an incident in a Himalayan temple and is presumed dead.

    Lord Richard Croft (unseen): Lara's father and Earl of Abbingdon. After his wife's death he taught his daughter archaeology and raised her alone. He died when Lara was eighteen.
