    		KDKA of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (owned by Westinghouse) began broadcasting as the first commercial radio station on November 2, 1920.

    		This was another of my mysteriously "lost" questions. The answer given then:

    KDKA in Pittsburgh, PA. They were allowed to keep their call letters later when stations east of the Mississippi had call letters beginning with 'W' and those beginning with 'K' were on the west of the Mississippi.
